HISTORY EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM HOSTS TEACHING PRACTITIONERS: ENCOURAGING STUDENTS TO HAVE THE FIGHTING SPIRIT OF AN EDUPRENEUR

Yogyakarta, April 29, 2025 – The History Education Study Program of Makassar State University (UNM) conducted an academic visit to the History Education Study Program of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. This visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions as well as to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, research, and community service.

The delegation from UNM was warmly welcomed by lecturers and students of the UNY History Education Study Program in the Ki Hadjar Dewantara FISHIPOL UNY Room. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Aman, M.Pd, as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the welcome and his hope that this activity would be the starting point for long-term collaboration between the two study programs. “We hope that this visit will not only be a gathering, but also open up opportunities for concrete cooperation in academic curriculum development, lecturer and student exchanges, and joint research,” he said.

The event featured panel discussions, exchanges of experiences in managing study programs, and question and answer sessions between students from both universities. In addition, the UNM delegation also had the opportunity to visit the History Education Laboratory and the UNY Education Museum.

It is hoped that this visit will create positive synergy between universities in the development of historical science and the improvement of education quality in Indonesia.
