The History Education Study Program FISIP Yogyakarta State University (UNY) conducted a partnership visit to the History Education Study Program Semarang State University (UNNES) on Tuesday, June 4, 2025. This activity is part of efforts to strengthen synergy between universities in supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The UNY delegation was led by Dr. Danu Eko Agustinova, M.Pd., Head of the Department of History Education, FISIP UNY. Also present during the visit were Septian Teguh Wijiyanto, M.Pd., Head of the Cooperation and UUIK Division of FISIP UNY, the Study Program Cooperation Task Force team, and Asyhar Basyari, M.Pd., Quality Assurance Group of the History Education Study Program at UNY.

The visit was warmly welcomed by the Coordinator of the UNNES History Education Study Program, Andy Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., along with the lecturers. During the meeting, the two parties had an intensive discussion on concrete forms of academic cooperation.

The agreed forms of partnership include joint scientific article writing, organizing collaborative webinars and scientific forums, initiating student and lecturer exchange programs, and collaborating as partner reviewers for scientific journals managed by each institution.

Also attending this event was the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Semarang State University, Prof. Dr. Arif Purnomo, S.Pd., S.S., M.Pd., who officially signed the partnership document between the two institutions. In his speech, Prof. Arif Purnomo expressed his hope, “May this partnership foster a closer relationship between UNY and UNNES.”

“This partnership is not just a formality, but a joint effort to encourage real and sustainable academic collaboration,” said Dr. Danu Eko Agustinova.

On behalf of UNNES, Andy Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd. stated that this activity is expected to be the beginning of a warmer relationship, not only between UNY and UNNES, but also to open up opportunities for broader collaboration between History Education Study Programs from various universities in Indonesia.
